Free agent since July 1st 2020, the Colombian international player (88 caps) agreed to join the Hornets to strengthen their squad in their bid for promotion.

The left footed defensive midfielder (35 years old) played with Valenciennes in France, Fiorentina in Italy or Espanyol Barcelona in Spain, making him reach 300 appearances in 4 of the 5 main European leagues, with Watford being his 3rd club in the United Kingdom, after Aston Villa and West Ham.

Sanchez’s last experienced was with the Hammers, with whom he played 18 times.

Sanchez’s new contract has been approved by the English Football League and the player will be available for selection for next Saturday’s game against Nottingham Forest (12:30).
